A wedding should be memorable enough to last for a lifetime. After all it is meant to last for a lifetime. How much memorable can it be if you make your actual wedding day on a unique and novel location? Just imagine taking your vows in a lush African setting while a herd of rhinos, giraffes, and antelopes pass by. You don’t have to go to Africa to do that. The San Diego Zoo and Wild Animal park can offer that excellent setting and background. They have excellent spaces with which you can choose from. Moreover, your guest would not only want to go to your wedding, they would want to tour the whole place. It will really be fun for all your guests. You may even do it in a lagoon of exotic plant life with wild and rare birds chirping and flying around. The water in the lagoon provides that pleasing panorama of spaciousness and the lagoon gives that all around romantic touch. In your wedding planning, include your wedding venue as an important item because the venue dictates the theme and tone of your wedding. The wedding location has the power to dictate the spirit of the occasion. You may want your wedding to be solemn, wild, casual, free, enjoyable, having an air of permissiveness, or you may want it to be formal, reverent, sweet, and inspiring. The wedding location will contribute to all that. For example, you might want to have your wedding high up in the air. You can actually do it in a hot air balloon and enjoy the scenery below while you say I do to your partner. Top it with wine and goodies and your guest will be merrymaking the whole day over. In doing a hot air balloon wedding, you are unconsciously saying to your guest to relax, break the ice, and enjoy. The attire may not be that formal and it may even have that sporty look. The great thing about hot air balloon weddings is that it accentuates the feeling of falling in love...of flying in the air, so frightening yet so wonderful you can’t stop. Do you like to have a feel of ancient history? You don’t have to scout the great wonders of the world to do that. Well if you are rich, why not try the Taj Mahal? After all it’s the most romantic of all the 8 Wonders of the World. It’s an astounding structure of pure love - the tomb of the beloved Queen. But as I said, you don’t even have to go abroad to have that ancient ambience. Try doing your wedding inside the museum. There you can have a variety of themes to choose from. You may even want to have the reception in the museum gardens. Just inquire at your nearby museums if they have this kind of service. Unique wedding locations are not hard to find, you just need a wild imagination and a touch of creativity to make your wedding really special. Would you like your wedding to be held in a venue of Mediterranean style architecture? Again, you don't have to go to Greece or some other exotic looking country to do that. You can have it at the Darlington House, Olivetas Avenue, CA. It is located nearby a beach and have wide luxurious patios. The architecture is really amazing and gives the whole occasion a touch of elegance and beauty. This wedding location can make your wedding really grand and unforgettable. A cruise is really one special trip. A wedding cruise is doubly special. The waters make it romantic, the ship makes it grand, the seas make the sight and ambience relaxing. Your guest would really consider it a great privilege to be invited. In your menu, include luscious seafood to grace the occasion. At night you may prefer fireworks in the air to make the event unforgettable and hopelessly romantic. At night, partying and wine amidst the wide ocean is very appropriate. Who knows, there might be another wedding in the table after this event. For all the guests it is certainly going to be a trip to remember. In Berkeley, they have a facility there where you can get married while dolphins as your guests. It would really be romantic, special, and memorable getting married on a ferryboat of your dreams. It depends on the number of your guests if you would have a ship, a ferryboat or a yacht. Do you have a favorite park to go to when you were sweethearts? Getting married in your favorite park will not only elicit happy and romantic memories, it would really make your wedding special. Parks are generally less expensive but that does not make it less special. A garden wedding in the park gives a spacious and free feeling. Choose the morning time for a bright and lovely accent and choose the evening for that romantic and solemn touch. For adventurous couples, you may try getting wed inside a helicopter, while skydiving, underwater, bungee jumping, snowboarding, and other wild ideas to celebrate the most important day of your life. A golf course wedding is nice and elegant. Beach weddings are still not outdated. Everybody loves the sea. For a change, try a night beach wedding with a formal touch and a fireworks display. If you want that intimate and special touch, try an island wedding for very close and intimate friends where you can go skinny dipping at night. You should be able to rent the whole island for the whole duration of your stay. There are also themed restaurants where you can choose from. Forest weddings gives that natural mystique allure. Just imagine saying your vows amidst ancient trees and exotic foliage. Getting wed inside an Art gallery also gives that favorable ambience. You don’t have to worry about the decorations because the art works serve as decoration. You just have to simply accent it with flowers. In all these wedding location ideas, remember one thing. You want the most important day of your life special. The location of the wedding makes half of the job done. That is your greatest medium where it will set your theme, your tone, and how you really want to make things special. Sandra Canfield is owner of Accent the Party.
